Desperado A Western Romance (Audible Audio Edition) Lynn Hubbard Bobbin Beam Lemon Press Publishing Books Reviews
If you have never read one of Lynn Hubbards books, you are in for a treat. I could not put this book down. Pick it up and see for yourself. Great Job Lynn!!!
Good story, but I see it as a take on The Young Riders tv show from the late 1980's.
Lynn out did herself again in this wonderfully written story about a young woman who had lost all hope, until Reese appeared in her life. I do not want to give anything away so just get this book, you will not be disappointed. I didn't want the story to end. I bought the printed series. Will be added to my collection of "keepers". You will not want to put this book down. I look forward to future books by this marvelous author. Keep up the GREAT work Lynn !
this book was not true to the times of life being really hard trying to make it day to day. I also think there was too much romance too soon. I love a good
romance as much as the next person but this was a little over the top. Beth was a petite female yet she was able to do the work of the other riders who were
all in training. Years ago I owned three horses and rode almost everyday. Its not easy work taking care of horses and this book make it seem like it was no
big deal. The story was too predictable. This was my first Lynn Hubbard book but even tho I was disappointed in this one.....I will try another one soon.
Thomas Cooper should have been shot before he could come back and further ruin his children's lives. Elizabeth (Beth) has grit and determination enough for a true heroine. If only she had been better portrayed. Reese is also a strong and hard working hero. The problem is that Pony Express riders did not live like they were portrayed in this book. And just exactly how do you really disguise a woman as a young man, old enough to ride for the Pony Express? When did she cut her hair? It was not mentioned. When she was discovered to be a woman, and pregnant, Reese should have lost his job. Married men could not ride for the P.E. But he keeps right on working and she lives in the station house? Get real. I hate writers who don't do their research, or just refuse to abide by it to make their story "work".
Glad I did not have to pay for this book, it was boring, boring, and boring after I finish it I deleted it from my list.
Very good read sweet, sad, romantic I really enjoyed this story it had a little of everything very good read
